North America

Over the years I have traveled through all of the states of the United States.  I have also visited many of the provinces of Canada and States of Mexico.  For all of their similarities, there are times when they do not sort along political lines very well.  For instance; Hyder, Alaska and Stewart, British Columbia are adjacent to each other at the end of “the Alaska Panhandle”.  They are both dramatically similar and dissimilar.

The State or Province level links in the drop-down box above, will take you to a page about the specified location on this website. They are sorted into the States of Mexico, the States of the United States, and the Provinces of Canada

Here, I present the ten-volumes of Birding the Western US and Canada, along with a listing of the bird species shown in each volume.  In many cases, the individual state and province pages also have embedded video and links to extensive photo galleries.  The Species Index pages provide links to photographs and video of specific species.
